Do you know that bananas do not just keep us active and energized? Know how they also cure and prevent a number of body illnesses.

Banana Wonder

If you need a quick energy fix, go and grab the number one fruit consumed by the world’s leading athletes – bananas.

Do you know that bananas give instant energy boost because it contains three natural sugars: sucrose, fructose, and glucose? In fact, research indicates that two bananas could provide you with enough energy for a 90-minute rigorous workout. But providing energy is not the only wonder bananas provide. They can help cure and prevent a number of serious illnesses, as well.

If you have the following conditions, you know what to grab and cure yourself with!

Ulcer. Bananas can help cure ulcer because they neutralize over-acidity and minimize irritation by coating the stomach lining. They are a dietary food against intestinal disorders because of its smooth and soft texture.

Stress. Because bananas are rich in potassium, they regulate the body’s water balance, normalize heartbeat, and send oxygen to the brain.

Morning sickness. Eating a banana between meals keeps blood sugar levels up and prevents morning sickness.

Hangovers. A banana milkshake is one of the fastest ways of addressing a hangover. While honey builds up low blood sugar levels, the banana soothes the stomach and the milk rehydrates the body.

Pre-menstrual Syndrome (PMS). The Vitamin B6 bananas contain regulates the mood-affecting glucose in the blood during this condition. So when you’re about to face that time of the month again, you know bananas can help you get over it.

Depression. Bananas are rich in tryptophan, a protein converted within the body to serotonin and is believed to improve the mood and make one feel happier.

Anemia. Bananas contain lots of iron, simulating hemoglobin production in the blood against anemia.

Constipation. The fiber in bananas could help restore normal bowel action.

Heartburn. The natural antacid effect of bananas effectively alleviates the pain from heartburn.

Mosquito bites. By rubbing the affected area with the inside of a banana skin, the swelling and irritation on the skin will be reduced.

Smoking. The B6, B12, potassium, and magnesium that bananas contain may actually help smokers kick off the habit. They help the body recover from the effects of nicotine withdrawal.

And the list of the wonders of bananas does not end here. Compared to apples, bananas contain four times the protein, three times the phosphorous, five times the vitamin A and iron, and twice the other minerals and vitamins the former contains.

An apple a day may keep the doctor away, but a banana a day might soon keep the doctors out of jobs.
