Ingredients of Peanut Butter Fingers

For the peanut butter finger recipe, all you need are the following:

  • Bread slices
  • A cup of peanut butter (creamy or chunky, take your pick)
  • 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons of white sugar
  • 1 cup of bread crumbs on a plate

Preparing the Peanut Butter Fingers

1. Cut the bread slices into three or four longitudinal strips. You may remove or leave the sides, depending on your preference. Place these strips in the oven toaster for a couple of minutes to get toasted. If you don’t have an oven toaster, then just toast the whole bread slices first in your bread toaster, and then cut it into strips after toasting.

2. Mix the peanut butter, oil, and sugar thoroughly in a bowl. Make sure that the sugar is well blended with the peanut butter so that the whole mixture is equally sweet.

3. Get the bread strips. Dip each strip in the peanut butter mixture and try to coat the whole strip completely with the mixture. Then after coating the strip, roll it in bread crumbs. Make sure that each surface is covered with the bread crumbs. Place it on a plate and set aside. Do this for each strip, until all of the strips are coated with the mixture and bread crumbs.

4. Place the peanut butter fingers in the refrigerator to cool. Serve as an afternoon snack for kids, or bring it to work. This snack is best consumed with milk or juice.
